I wanted a CRM that understood more than the latest update.
I’ve spent 20 years working with CRMs. Over that time, I kept coming back to the same question: how do we make all this information more useful to the people actually running the business?
Customer records, campaigns, opportunities and tasks all matter. So does the context between them: what changed, when it changed, and what we understood at the time.
I wanted to be able to return to an earlier decision and understand why it made sense then. I wanted to connect the customer conversation to the campaign, the handoff and the work that followed.
Then there’s my obsession with time.
Inflection points fascinate me—the moments when a relationship, a campaign or a business starts moving in a different direction. What led up to that moment? What did we know? Which choices were still open?
I wanted to understand and map those changes, rather than look only at where the business ended up. A useful CRM should help us examine the path as well as the current position.
AI gave me a way to bring those ideas together.
My experience with AI brought a third part to the picture: a way to work with that context, explore questions, and connect understanding to practical business workflows.
That is where Chrono comes from. Twenty years with CRMs, a fascination with time and inflection points, and my experience with AI, fused into the CRM I always wanted to use.
My aim is a connected ecosystem for customer relationships, marketing and the work around them. Somewhere you can understand what happened, examine what you knew, explore possible next steps, and decide what to do.
